Mark Kreslins, pastor

Mark Kreslins grew up in upstate NY but spent most of his life in the Washington D.C. area first as a Senior Legislative Assistant to two Members of Congress, then as a member of a church plant in Maryland. He eventually was commissioned as an elder in 1996 and served in numerous teaching and leadership roles as that church grew. Yet, the defining moment of his life came in November 1977 while stationed in Okinawa, Japan where he received forgiveness for his sin and was born-again spiritually after being introduced to Jesus Christ.
He received most of his theological training at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida as a biblical studies major and is now going through the application process to obtain a Masters degree in History. Over the decades, Mark has shared the Gospel with hundreds, has been part of seeing people come to salvation through Jesus Christ, led churches, served as an assistant chaplain at a correctional facility and been involved in advancing the Great Commission and Great Commandment in whatever mission field God has planted him: from politics to ministry.
In 2012, Mark and his wife of thirty-one years Patti moved from Maryland to Oklahoma sensing a need to re-engage the culture in the political realm in keeping with Jesus' admonition to be salt and light to the world and to engage the culture by using our minds and making good historical and political arguments (Matthew 22:37). In this context, he remains active in cultural policy debates especially abortion, the murder of an innocent unborn baby and defines himself as an abortion abolitionist.

Patti and Mark now reside in Edmond just a few doors away from his oldest daughter and her husband and their five children and a short distance from his other daughter and her husband in Shawnee, his son in OKC and his youngest daughter and her Army husband in Lawton.

His defining verse in Scripture is Philippians 1:6: "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."

What is a "Liberty Church"

A "liberty church" is a church where the “whole counsel of God” is preached/taught - including what Scripture says about government. Believing that God created three institutions (the home, the state, and the church) in order to ensure a civil society, I believe pastors have the same responsibility to preach/teach about government as they do to preach/teach about the home or the church. The pastor of a “liberty church” will not hesitate to attack social and political evils from his pulpit as he brings God’s Word to bear on every issue of life - especially those labelled “controversial” by those who consider themselves "politically correct.” It is my hope, in time, to help other pastors establish additional liberty churches around the country.

Please send your prayers for guidance. The devil knows his time is short and is working overtime. Our nation is in dire straights and there is much work to be done.
